The authors work with Lie pseudoalgebras over a field \(K\) of characteristic zero. These are triples \((E,A,\theta )\), where \(A\) is an associative and commutative algebra with identity over \(K\), \(E\) is an \(A\)-module and a \(K\)-Lie algebra, and \(\theta:E\rightarrow \text{ Der}(A)\) is a Lie algebra morphism and an \(A\)-module morphism such that certain compatibility conditions are satisfied. Two different kinds of morphisms between Lie pseudoalgebras were considered in \textit{J. Huebschmann} [J. Reine Angew. Math. 408, 57-113 (1990; Zbl 0699.53037)]: morphisms of pseudoalgebras (which were well known) and comorphisms of Lie pseudoalgebras. In the paper under review, the authors unify these two kinds of morphisms via restriction theory, showing that both are subalgebras in a Lie pseudoalgebra called the \(\psi\)-sum of the two Lie pseudoalgebras. Similar results are proved for Lie algebroids and for Lie groupoids.
