The authors consider the following evolution problem known as sweeping process \[ -\frac{d}{dt}u(t)\in N_{C(t,u(t))}(u(t))+F(t,u(t)), \quad\text{a.e. in }[0,T], \qquad u(0)=u_0, \] where \(C(t,u)\) is a given subset of a Hilbert space \(H\), \(t\in [0,T]\) and \(u\in H\); \(N_{C(t,u(t))}(u(t))\) denotes the normal cone to \(C(t,u(t))\) at \(u(t)\in C(t,u(t))\); \(u_0\in C(0,u_0)\) is the initial datum; \(F\) is a single-valued function. They prove the existence of local and global solutions to the above problem when \(C(t,u)\), \((t,u)\in [0,T]\times H\), are nonconvex sets in a suitable class of closed sets (prox-regular non-convex sets), by assuming that such sets depend continuously on time and state.
