The authors define Hochschild (co)homology of not necessarily flat morphisms of complex spaces. This is done by deriving the construction appropriately, and so their construction agrees with the categorical construction in the flat case. They show that Hochschild cohomology is graded commutative and supports a characteristic homomorphism to the graded center of the derived category. To show that the construction is functorial in the derived category, the authors employs a technique they call ``categories of models'' where the ``category of models'' in question consists of the appropriate resolvents of the morphisms.
