Sufficient conditions are obtained under which the periodic boundary value problem \[ u'''=p_1(t)u+p_2(t)u'+p_3(t)u''+q(t), \] \[ u^{(i-1)}(b)=u^{(i-1)}(a)+c_i,\quad i=1,2,3, \] admits a unique solution, where \(-\infty<a<b<+\infty\), the \(c_i\) \((i=1,2,3)\) are real constants and the \(p_i:[a,b]\to\mathbb R\) \((i=1,2,3)\) and \(q:[a,b]\to\mathbb R\) are Lebesgue integrable functions. These sufficient conditions are easily verifiable and depend on coefficient functions, viz, \(p_i(t)\) \((i=1,2,3)\). It is interesting to note that there is no condition on the forcing function \(q(t)\).
