On the rate of pointwise strong summability of orthogonal expansions (Q2462215)

The authors introduce a modified local modulus of continuity and use it to measure pointwise strong summability of expansions with respect to polynomial--like orthonormal systems. They obtain generalizations of some special cases of results of \textit{K. Tandori} [Acta Math. Acad. Sci. Hung. 3, 73--82 (1952; Zbl 0047.30403); Acta Math. Acad. Sci. Hung. 5, 237--253 (1954; Zbl 0059.05303)], and \textit{G. Freud} [Acta Math. Acad. Sci. Hung. 3, 83--88 (1952; Zbl 0047.30404)].
