The paper considers the algebra of modular forms invariant under the Atkin-Lehner groups \(\Gamma _0^+(\ell )\) where the level \(\ell \) is one of the ten integers such that the sum of their divisors divides 24. \textit{H.-G. Quebbemann} [J. Number Theory 54, No. 2, 190--202 (1995; Zbl 0874.11038) and Enseign. Math., II. Ser. 43, No. 1--2, 55--65 (1997; Zbl 0898.11014)] showed that this algebra is a polynomial ring in explicit nice generators, which may be chosen to be theta series of strongly \(\ell \)-modular lattices. Using the well known construction \(A\) over number fields Choie and Solé establish ad hoc isomorphisms of these rings and certain subrings of the rings spanned by the weight enumerators of self-dual codes for all \(\ell \neq 15\).
