The study of the Kardar-Paris-Zhang (KPZ) equation is difficult, since it is not possible to define a Wick product in the classical way. In order to study the KPZ model the authors consider a modification of the KPZ equation with the same invariant measure than the KPZ equation. Moreover, the modified equation has the nonlinear term with the same structure as the KPZ equation. Then, the authors are able to prove the existence of strong solutions for the modified equation using a fixed point argument. Using that they know explicitly the corresponding invariant measure, they also obtain that the solutions are almost surely global in time.
