Some properties of the injective tensor product of Banach spaces (Q2463814)

The authors give some remarks on the validity of the Radon-Nikodym property (RNP) and its relatives, in projective tensor product spaces. This is done along the lines of the work of \textit{Q. Bu, J. Diestel, P. Dowling} and \textit{E. Oja} [Ill. J. Math. 47, No. 4, 1303--1326 (2003; Zbl 1039.46053)]. Let \(U\) be a Banach space with a boundedly complete, \(1\)-unconditional normalized basis. For a Banach space \(X\), a certain space of \(X\)-valued sequences with tails converging to zero, \(U_{w,0}(X)\) is shown to be isometric to \(U\check{\otimes}X\). This reduces the study of the RNP related properties to \(X\) having these properties and \(U_w(X)=U_{w,0}(X)\).
