Remarks on the zeros of the associated Legendre functions with integral degree (Q2464065)

In this paper the author gives some formulas for the computation of the zeros of the integral-degree associated Legendre functions with respect to the order. To this end, the author first presents a system of algebraic equations for the zeros of the associated Legendre function. Then, it is shown that these algebraic equations imply a nonlinear system of coupled differential equations. Then the author formulates the solution of these differential equations and finally provides explicit information on the location of the zeros of the integral-degree associated Legendre functions.
