The value of the first Sobolev best constant for a compact Riemannian manifold was determined in [\textit{T. Aubin}, J. Differ. Geom. 11, 573--598 (1976; Zbl 0371.46011)]. Note that this constant does not depend on the underlying Riemannian metric. However, the second best constant depends on the metric. In the paper under review, the authors prove that for a compact Riemannian manifold \((M,g)\) of dimension \(n \geq 2\), the second Riemannian \(L^p\)-Sobolev best constant, denoted by \(B_0(p,g)\) depends continuously on \(g\) with respect to the \(C^0\)-topology when \(1 < p < \min \{2, \sqrt n\}.\) On the other hand, they also establish that if \(p=2\) and \(n \geq 4,\) then \(B_0(2,g)\) is continuous with respect to the \(C^2\)-topology under some scalar convergence condition. It is also noted that \(B_0(2,g)\) is not continuous with respect to the \(C^{1, \beta}\)-topology.
