Gabriel's theorem sets up a bijection between positive roots of a Dynkin diagram and isomorphism classes of indecomposable representations of a quiver of the same Dynkin type. \textit{I. N. Bernstein, I. M. Gelfand} and \textit{V. A. Ponomarev} [Usp. Mat. Nauk 28, No. 2(170), 19-33 (1973), translation in Russ. Math. Surv. 28, No. 2, 17-32 (1973; Zbl 0269.08001)] have defined reflection functors in order to reprove this theorem by mimicking the action of the Weyl group on roots. The present article is part of a programme, by the authors and some co-authors [see also \textit{M. Kleiner} and \textit{A. Pelley}, Int. Math. Res. Not. 2007, No. 4, Article ID rnm013 (2007; Zbl 1135.16014) and the authors, Adv. Math. 192, No. 2, 376-402 (2005; Zbl 1091.16008)], to extend this approach to preprojective representations of general quivers (corresponding to Kac-Moody algebras). Here, they deal with the case of valued quivers. Admissible sequences of reflections are defined for modules and shown to determine the module. The admissible sequences of indecomposable modules are described.
