The authors consider a one-dimensional body of a given length in a given (short) interval of time. The body is changing phase in accordance to the Cauchy-Neumann theory. The mathematical model is described by two nonlinear partial differential equations (PDE). The field functions are the temperature and one of the local proportion of one of the two phases. The intial and boundary conditions are given. The PDE are formed by combining the energy balance equation and the principle of virtual power in which the acceleration of microscoping motions are taken into account. It turns out that the fixed procedures guarantees the existence of solutions in the whole time interval. Also, the uniquenes of the global solution is proved by proper contracting estimates. The results of this well written paper can be usefully employed in physics and engineering.
