    The paper deals with an even order forced nonlinear neutral differential equation of the form \[ \frac{d^n}{dt^n} \bigl(x(t)+a(t)x(\tau(t))\bigr)+ \sum_{i=1}^N Q_i(t)G_i(x(\sigma_1(t)),x(\sigma_2(t)),\dots ,x(\sigma_m(t)))=f(t),\tag{1} \] where \(t\in\mathbb R^{+}=[0,\infty)\) and (a) \(a(t)\) is a decreasing continuous function on \(\mathbb R^+\), \(0\leq a(t) < 1\), (b) \(\tau(t),\;\sigma_i(t)\) are continuous functions on \(\mathbb R\), \(\tau(t) < t\), \(\sigma_i(t)\leq t\) and \(\lim\limits_{t\to\infty}\tau(t)=\lim\limits_{t\to\infty}\sigma_i(t)=\infty\), \(i=1,2,\dots ,N\), (c) \(Q_i(t),\;f(t)\) are real valued continuous functions on \(\mathbb R^+\) and \(Q_i(t) > 0\), \(i=1,2,\dots ,N\), (d) \(G_i : \mathbb R^m\to \mathbb R\) is nondecreasing differentiable function such that \(xG_i(x,x,\dots ,x) > 0\) for \(x\neq 0,\;i=1,2,\dots ,N\). Sufficient conditions are derived for equation (1) to be oscillatory in both superlinear and sublinear cases. It seems, some misprints are in the text.
