The aim of this paper is to compute the three-dimensional transient heat transfer by conduction and convection across a solid layer with heterogeneities, bounded by two semi-infinite media. A boundary element method is proposed; the use of appropriate Green functions avoids the discretization of the solid interfaces. Several simulations illustrate the applicability of the method.
