For a sequence \(a_n\), \(n=1,2,\dots\), of positive real numbers define the set \(X=\{\sum_{n=1}^\infty\frac{1}{a_nc_n}:c_n\in\mathbb N\}\). If \(a_n=2^{2^n}\), \textit{P. Erdős} [J. Math. Sci 10, 1--7 (1975; Zbl 0372.10023)] proved that \(X\) contains irrational numbers only. For \(a_n=2^{3^n}\), in an earlier paper [preprint] the authors proved that \(X\) has zero Lebesgue measure. In this note the authors derive zero Hausdorff dimension of \(X\) for \(a_n\) satisfying \(a_{n+1}\geq n2^{2^{a_n}}\), \(n=1,2,\dots\). The method of proof uses Hausdorff-Cantelli lemma, see the monograph [\textit{V. I. Bernik} and \textit{M. M. Dodson}, Metric Diophantine Approximation on Manifolds. Cambridge Tracts in Mathematics. 137. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press (1999; Zbl 0933.11040)].
