By means of a fixed point theorem, the author obtains some sufficient conditions for the existence of nonoscillatory solutions of second-order nonlinear difference equations of the type \(\triangle^2_\tau x(t)+f(t,x(t-\sigma))=0, \quad t\geq t_0.\)
