The author deals with the Cauchy problem for Fisher or KPP equation \[ \begin{aligned} u_t= \Delta_x u+ f(u), &\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^N,\;t> 0,\tag{1}\\ u(x,0)= u_0(x), &\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^N,\tag{2} \end{aligned} \] where \(f(u)= u(1- u)\). He is interested in the irregular behaviour of solutions for (1)--(2) when \(u_0(x)\) does not decay in a regular way, for example \(u_0(x)\) decays to \(0\) as \(|x|\to\infty\) but is not radially symmetric. Then the author shows that the solution (1)--(2) may behave in a rather irregular way. He shows that there exists an expanding front with arbitrarily prescribed profile. The proofs are based on some estimate of the difference of two distinct solutions and a comparison technique.
