Effect algebras with compressions (Q2467655)

The author studies effect algebras with a compression base having the projection cover property, the Rickart projection property, and the so-called \(b\)-general comparability. The attention is given to commutativity properties, blocks and \(C\)-blocks. It is shown, e.g., that an effect algebra with a compression base fulfilling the \(b\)-general comparability can be covered by its \(C\)-blocks which can be organized into MV-algebras. A consequence to sequential effect algebras is given.
