It is known that the Grushin plane \(G\), as metric space, is a quotient of the Heisenberg group \(H\) and therefore there is a relationship between the sub-Riemannian geometry in \(H\) and a specific isoperimetric problem in \(G\). The main results here state that the Heisenberg geodesics projections are solutions of certain isoperimetric problems in \(G\).
