Lower bounds for some factorable matrices (Q2469025)

The authors determine the lower bounds for some factorable matrices when viewed as bounded linear operators on \(l^p\) spaces for \(p>1\). They improve certain results from the first author's papers [Linear Multilinear Algebra 26, No.\,1/2, 49--58 (1990; Zbl 0697.15009)] and provide a new proof of Theorem~1 of [Linear Multilinear Algebra 20, 347--352 (1987; Zbl 0628.15015)]. The paper contains certain mathematical and typographical errors which were fixed by the authors in [Int.\ J.\ Math.\ Math.\ Sci.\ Volume 2007, Article ID 29096 (2007; Zbl 1136.47302)].
