Let \(E/\mathbb{Q}\) be an elliptic curve. By a celebrated theorem of Wiles et al., \(E\) admits a modular parametrization \(X_0(N)\to E\), where \(N\) is the conductor of \(E\). Heegner points on \(E\) are algebraic points arising from this parametrization. Specifically, non-cuspidal points on the modular curve \(X_0(N)\) parametrize pairs of elliptic curves \(E_1, E_2\) equipped with an isogeny \(\phi:E_1\to E_2\) with kernel isomorphic to \(\mathbb{Z}/N\mathbb{Z}\). Given a quadratic imaginary extension \(k/\mathbb{Q}\), and an order \(\mathcal{O}\) in the ring of integers of \(k\), we denote by \(\text{CM}^{(N)}(\mathcal{O})\) the set of points on \(X_0(N)\) corresponding to pairs with \(\text{End}(E_1)\cong\text{End}(E_2)\cong\mathcal{O}\). The \textit{Heegner points} on \(E\) corresponding to \(\mathcal{O}\) are the images of these points, under the aforementioned parametrization. If \(\mathcal{O}\) satisfies the `Heegner condition' for \(N\), then these points are algebraic, defined over a specific finite, abelian extension \(K_\mathcal{O}/k\). This paper addresses the independence (in the Mordell-Weil group) of Heegner points arising from the rings of integers of distinct quadratic imaginary extensions of \(\mathbb{Q}\). Specifically, let \(E/\mathbb{Q}\) be an elliptic curve, accompanied by some fixed modular parametrization, and let \(P_1, \dots, P_r\in E(\overline{\mathbb{Q}})\) be Heegner points associated to the rings of integers of the distinct quadratic imaginary extensions \(k_1, \dots, k_r\) of \(\mathbb{Q}\). The authors prove that there is a constant \(C\), depending only on \(E\) and the choice of parametrization \(X_0(N)\to E\), such that if the odd parts of the class numbers of \(k_1, \dots, k_r\) are larger than \(C\), then the points \(P_1, \dots, P_r\) are independent in \(E(\overline{\mathbb{Q}})\) modulo torsion.
