Fine and Gillman showed CH implies every separable non-pseudocompact space has remote points. This paper is concerned with the question whether the Fine and Gillman result can be extended to ccc spaces: the main result of the paper is that under the assumption of CH, if \(I\) is any index set and \(X=\prod\{X_i:i\in I\}\) is a product of completely regular, ccc spaces each of weight \(\omega_2\); and if \(X\) is ccc and non-pseudocompact, then \(X\) has remote points. This result improves the results of [\textit{J. A. Brown} and \textit{A. Dow}, Remote points under the continuum hypotheses, preprint] where it was shown under CH that every ccc non-pseudocompact space of weight \(\omega_2\) has remote points and that assuming the existence of an \(\omega_1\)-scale, every ccc nonpseudocompact product space whose factors each have weight at most \(\omega_1\) has a remote point.
