The authors study a competitive system with Beddington-deAngelis functional response under periodically impulsive chemostat conditions. A sufficient condition for local stability of the microorganism free periodic solution is derived. The subsystem with one substrate and one microorganism is then studied. Sufficient conditions for the existence of a unique globally stable periodic solution are derived. The stability analysis yields an invasion threshold. Permanence of the full system is proved if the impulsive period is less than some critical value. A relevant reference is: \textit{G. Pang, F. Wang} and \textit{L. Chen}, Int. J. Pure. Appl.
