The paper deals with the existence of positive solutions of the dynamic equation on time scales \[ (\varphi_p(u^\Delta))^\nabla +a(t)f(t,u(t))=0, \quad t\in(0,T), \tag{1} \] subject to the boundary conditions \[ \varphi_p(u^\Delta(0))=\sum_{i=1}^{m-2}a_i\varphi_p(u^\Delta(\xi_i),\quad u(T)=\sum_{i=1}^{m-2}b_iu(\xi_i), \tag{2} \] where \(f\) is a continuous nonnegative function, \(\varphi_p(s)\) is a \(p\)-Laplacian operator, \(0 <\xi_1<\cdots < \xi_{m-2} <\rho(T)\), \(\rho\) is a backward jump operator. Further, \(a_i,b_i\in[0,\infty)\), \(0<\sum_{i=1}^{m-2}a_i <1\), \(\sum_{i=1}^{m-2}b_i <1\), \(T\sum_{i=1}^{m-2}b_i\geq \sum_{i=1}^{m-2}b_i\xi_i\), \(a(t)\) is left-dense continuous and there exists \(t_0\in(\xi_{m-2},T)\) such that \(a(t_0) >0\). The paper establishes in two main theorems the existence of at least two positive solutions of problem (1), (2). The arguments involve the use of the Guo-Krasnosel'skii fixed point theorem in cones. If the conditions in the theorems are weakened, the authors get the existence of a single positive solution of problem (1), (2). One illustrative example is shown.
