Fuzzy linear systems, which formulate uncertainty, arise in engineering analysis and also in economics and finance, i.e. the Leontief model. An \(n \times n\) fuzzy linear system, using the embedding approach, is augmented into an \(2n\times 2n\) crisp function linear system, which is large and sparse. Block Jacobi and Gauss-Seidel iterative methods and a new splitting method are studied for solving fuzzy linear systems and necessary and sufficient conditions for convergence are also given. Finally, the authors demonstrate the applicability and efficiency of the proposed methods on fuzzy linear systems and numerical results are presented, using MATLAB.
