Let \(\sigma(n)\) be the sum of divisors function and \(\sigma^*(n)\) that of unitary divisors \(d\) (that means \(d\) prime with \({n\over d}\)). The author considers the function \(f(n)={\sigma(n)\over \sigma^*(n)\ln\ln n}\) \((n\geq 2)\). It is known that \(\varlimsup_{n\to \infty} f(n)\leq e^\gamma\) (\(\gamma\) is the Euler constant). He proves \(f(n)< e^\gamma\) if \(n\not\in\{3,4,5,8,16\}\).
