The authors prove a Harnack type inequality for positive \(C^2\) solutions \(u\) of the equation \[ \Delta u+ \lambda u+ k(x)u^{\frac{n+2}{n-2}}= 0 \] in a ball \(B_{3R}(0)\) for dimension \(3 \leq n \leq 6\) and \(\lambda=-\mu< 0 \) being a negative constant. Let us mention that the restriction on dimension \(n\) is posed for technical reason. The novelty in the proof of the Harnack-type inequality is the use of the maximum principle for domains with small measure due to Berestycki, Nirenberg-Varadhan together with the modified version of moving plane method of Chen and Lin. This helps the authors to overcome the difficulty in deriving estimates due to presence of linear term in the above equation.
