Clifford algebras and possible kinematics (Q2473481)

Let \({\mathbb C}\) denote the generalized complex numbers and \(M(2,{\mathbb C})\) the \(2\times 2\) matrices with entries in \({\mathbb C}\). After giving a survey of Cayley-Klein models and their kinematics, the author derives representations of the generalized Lie algebra \(\text{so}(3)\) as a real subalgebra of \(M(2,{\mathbb C})\). He gives generators of \(\text{so}(3)\) and he uses the Clifford algebra \(\text{Cl}_3\) to construct a double cover of \(\text{SO}(3)\).
