The authors consider maps \(f: G_{k}(V)\rightarrow G_{k}(V^{\prime})\) between Grassmann graphs generated by Grassmannians consisting of all \(k\)-dimensional subspaces of the vector spaces \(V\) and \(V^{\prime}\). They study two types of distance-preserving non-surjective maps \(f\). The first type is corresponding to a distance-preserving associate map \(f_{k-1}: G_{k-1}(V)\rightarrow G_{k-1}(V^{\prime})\) and the second one is corresponding to a distance-preserving associate map \(f_{k-1}: G_{k-1}(V)\rightarrow G_{k+1}(V^{\prime})\). In both cases, it is fulfilled the condition \(2k\leq \min(\dim(V),\dim(V^{\prime}) )\).
