The spherical image of a local Hecke series of genus four (Q2473745)

In this article, the author continues the computations of formal power series in the Hecke algebra. In his previous article with \textit{A. A. Panchishkin}, the author Math. Res. Lett. 14, No. 2, 173--187 (2007; Zbl 1163.11039)] provided the necessary theory and formulas that were used in the general case of genus \(n\) and the explicit result for \(n=3\). For the spherical image of a polynomial fraction, he now obtains the explicit formula conjectured by \textit{G. Shimura} in 1963 [Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 49, 824--828 (1963; Zbl 0122.08803)] for generating Hecke series in the particular case of genus 4. As in the paper cited above, he applies formulas due to \textit{A. N. Andrianov} [Math. USSR, Sb. 12, 429--452 (1970); translation from Mat. Sb., n. Ser. 83(125), 429--451 (1970; Zbl 0272.22008)] for the Satake spherical map. The formal algebraic computations have been carried out in Maple.
