Associated and quasi associated homogeneous distributions (generalized functions) (Q2473863)

The author systematically and in detail analyzes the concepts of the following classes of distributions: Homogeneous of degree \(\lambda\) (HD); associated homogeneous of order \(k\) and of degree \(\lambda\) (AHD); quasihomogeneous of degree and of type \(p=(p_1,\dots, p_n)\); and quasi associated homogeneous (QAHD). The last class is introduced in this paper. Two results proved in this paper are particularly interesting. First, the classes QAHD of orders \(k= 0\) and \(k= 1\) coincide with those of HD and AHD of order \(k= 1\), respectively. Second, a distribution \(f_k\) is multidimensional QAHD of order \(k\), \(k\geq 1\), if and only if it satisfies an Euler type system of differential equations. It is also proved that the class of QAHDs coincides with the class of distributions introduced in [\textit{I.\,M.\thinspace Gel'fand} and \textit{G.\,E.\thinspace Shilov}, ``Generalized functions.\ Vol.\,1:\ Properties and operations'' (New York and London:\ Academic Press) (1964; Zbl 0115.33101)].
