The authors deal with the following nonlocal initial boundary value problem \[ \begin{cases} u_t=\Delta u+c( x,t) u^p, &x\in \Omega ,\;t>0, \\ u( x,t) =\int_\Omega k( x,y,t) u^l( y,t), &x\in \partial \Omega,\;t>0, \\ u( x,0) =u_0( x), &x\in \Omega, \end{cases} \] where \(\Omega \subseteq \mathbb{R}^n\), \(n\geq 1\), bounded domain with smooth boundary, \(p>0\), \(l>0\). Here \(c( x,t) \) is a nonnegative locally Hölder continuous function defined for \(x\in \overline{\Omega },t\geq 0\), \(k( x,y,t) \)is a nonnegative continuous function defined for \(x\in \partial \Omega ,y\in \overline{\Omega}, t\geq 0\), and \(u_0( x) \) is a nonnegative continuous function satisfying the boundary condition at \(t=0\). After an Introduction in Section 1, the authors prove, in Section 2, a global existence theorem for \(\max ( p,l) \leq 1\). The proof of the theorem relies on the continuation principle and the construction of a supersolution. In Section 3, the authors give a general analysis of the blow-up problem and present the nonexistence of global solutions for sufficiently large data, global nonexistence of all nontrivial solutions and global existence for sufficiently small data. In the final part of the paper, Section 4, the authors consider the case \(p=1 \) or \(l=1\) and get more information for global existence and blow-up in finite time of the solution for the problem mentioned above.
