Characterizing the Hilbert transform by the Bedrosian theorem (Q2473994)

The paper refers to bounded linear translation invariant operators on \(L^2(\mathbb R^d)\) that satisfy Bedrosian theorem. It is proved that they should satisfy the necessary and sufficient condition of being linear combinations of compositions of partial Hilbert transforms and the identity operator. In this way the authors give a rigorous justification of the concept of multidimensional analytic signals.
