The reviewer, studying the stability of homomorphisms in the sense of Ulam-Hyers, introduced a function \(g:F(\alpha,\beta) \to \mathbb R\), where \(F(\alpha,\beta)\) is the free group generated be \(\alpha\) and \(\beta\), having bounded Cauchy difference (i.e., \(C(x,y):=g(x \star y)-g(x)-g(y)\) is bounded) and such that for any \(\varphi \in \Hom(F(\alpha,\beta),\mathbb R)\) the difference \(g-\varphi\) is unbounded. This means that the homomorphism equation for certain groups is not stable. Producing this example, the proof of the boundedness of \(C(x,y)\) has been left as ``intuitively clear''. In the paper under review, the author produces a nice detailed proof filling the gap.
