In the previous paper [Algebra Univers. 44, No. 1--2, 165--168 (2000; Zbl 1014.06006)], the authors have proved that every variety of modular ortholattices (MOLs) which is generated by its atomistic members is already generated by its finite-dimensional members. Now this result is modified as follows: Every variety of MOLs is generated by its simple members.
