    The authors study the limit behaviour, characterizing the asymptotic problem, of the sequence of second order evolution equations \[ (u_h)_{tt} - \Delta u_h + u_h = f_h \quad \text{in } (0,T) \times \Omega_h \] with Neumann boundary conditions in \((0,T) \times \partial\Omega_h\) and initial data \(u_h^0\), \(u_h^1\) for \(u_h(0)\) and \((u_h)_{t}(0)\). \(\Omega_h\) is a particular sequence of sets contained in a given \(\Omega = (0,1)^{n-1} \times (-z_1, z_2)\), \(z_1, z_2 > 0\), and some convergence assumptions are assumed about \(u_h^0\), \(u_h^1\), \(f_h\).
