Hankel determinants for some common lattice paths (Q2474252)

For a fixed positive number \(l\), let \(f(n,t,l)\) denote the weight of the set of paths running from \((0,0)\) to \((n,0)\) that never run below the \(x\)-axis. Let \(H_n= (f(i+ j-2,t,l)_{ij}\) denote the \(n\times n\) Hankel matrix. In this paper, using the generating function method and the continued fractions method, the authors evaluate \(\text{det}(H_n)\) for \(l= 1,2\) and \(3\).
