The trace of the singular moduli of the modular invariant function \(j\) was defined by \textit{D. Zagier} [Bogomolov, Fedor (ed.) et al., Motives, polylogarithms and Hodge theory. Part I: Motives and polylogarithms. Papers from the International Press conference, Irvine, CA, USA, June 1998. Somerville, MA: International Press. Int. Press Lect. Ser. 3, No. I, 211--244 (2002; Zbl 1048.11035)]. The exact formula of the trace is given by \textit{W. Duke} [Math. Ann. 334, No. 2, 241--252 (2006; Zbl 1091.11012)]. The authors generalize Duke's result to exact formulas for traces of singular values of modular functions for the Fricke group \(\Gamma_0(p)^*\) of prime level \(p\), using the result of \textit{D. Niebur} [Nagoya Math. J. 52, 133--145 (1973; Zbl 0288.10010)].
