The author treats the reanalysis of structures as multiple repeated analyses. He mentions that during design process structural analysis often must be repeated many times, and high computational cost is the main difficulty in the optimization of complex structure. This problem is typical of mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering and for naval architecture. The book introduces effective computational procedures for reanalysis. The book is divided into 11 chapters. The first three chapters are devoted to the basic models. In chapter 4 the author explains his understanding of reanalysis. In chapters 5--7 various approaches for reanalysis are developed for the models described in chapters 1--3. Chapter 9 is devoted to the repeated sensitivity analysis for discrete systems. In chapter 10 efficiency and accuracy of considerations are discussed. It is assumed that the reader has a basic knowledge of structural mechanics and mathematics in the framework of a basic technical course at university level. This well-written and well-organized book is a reader-friendly manual in the field of computational structural mechanics. It can be recommended for graduate, postgraduate and doctoral students.
