Let \(\pi\) be a finite set of primes, and let \(\mathcal R\) be a Dedekind domain such that \(p\mathcal R\neq\mathcal R\) for every \(p\in\pi\). For a finite group \(G\) and a \(\pi\)-element \(u\in G\), the author constructs an \(\mathcal R\)-algebra homomorphism \(\mathfrak{Br}^G_{\langle u\rangle}\colon Z_{\text{id}}(\mathcal RG)\to Z_{\text{id}}(\mathcal RC_G(u))\); here \(Z_{\text{id}}(\mathcal RG)\) denotes the subalgebra of the center \(Z(\mathcal RG)\) of the group ring \(\mathcal RG\) generated by all idempotents. Then \(\mathfrak{Br}^G_{\langle u\rangle}\) is given by a formula appearing already in the work of \textit{G.~R.~Robinson} [J. Algebra 117, No. 2, 409-418 (1988; Zbl 0648.20008)], and \(\mathfrak{Br}^G_{\langle u\rangle}\) is closely related to the classical Brauer homomorphism. Based on this, the author constructs an \(\mathcal R\)-algebra homomorphism \(\mathfrak{Gl}^G_H\colon Z_{\text{id}}(\mathcal RG)\to Z_{\text{id}}(\mathcal RG^H)\), for any finite solvable \(\pi\)-group \(H\) acting on \(G\). Thus \(\mathfrak{Gl}^G_H\) is closely related to the classical Glauberman correspondence. If \(H\) is an arbitrary finite group acting on \(G\) then, for any solvable \(\pi\)-subgroup \(K\) of \(H\) and any subnormal subgroup \(L\) of \(K\), one obtains an \(\mathcal R\)-algebra homomorphism \(\mathfrak{Ro}^K_L\colon Z_{\text{id}}(\mathcal RG^L)\to Z_{\text{id}}(\mathcal RG^K)\); this map is related to work of G.~R.~Robinson and allows to define Brauer \(\pi\)-pairs over \(\mathcal RG\) and a subnormal inclusion between such Brauer \(\pi\)-pairs. The author also shows that the Clifford extensions in a larger group, determined by an \(H\)-fixed irreducible character of \(G\) and its Glauberman correspondent in \(G^H\), are isomorphic. As another application, the author reproves \textit{A. Watanabe}'s results on isotypies between Glauberman corresponding blocks [J. Algebra 216, No. 2, 548-565 (1999; Zbl 0936.20006)].
