The \({\mathcal L}_2\)-transform was presented early in the form \[ {\mathcal L}_2\{f(x); y\}= \int^\infty_0 x\exp(- x^2 y^2) f(x)\,dx. \] This transform is related to the classical Laplace transform \[ {\mathcal L}\{f(x); y\}= \int^\infty_0 \exp(- xy) f(x)\,dx \] via the identities \[ {\mathcal L_2\{f(x); y\}= \tfrac12 {\mathcal L}-2\{f(\sqrt x}); y^2\},\qquad {\mathcal L}\{f(x); y\}= 2{\mathcal L}_2\{f(x^2); \sqrt{y}\}. \] In this paper the authors introduce some properties of the \({\mathcal L}_2\)-transform and give a Parseval type relationship for the \({\mathcal L}_2\)-transform. As applications of the identities, some useful corollaries and illustative examples are given.
