The idea of the paper is to show, that geometric meshes properly selected may reduce the computational costs in product integration Simpson's rules compared to the same rules with uniform meshes. It is indicated that geometric meshes are also proposed for reducing the computational costs in collocation methods for Volterra integrodifferential equations with singularity.
