The authors prove isoperimetric inequalities for the uniform measure on uniformly convex bodies in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) and for a class of log-concave measures which they call uniformly log-concave. The results generalize the log-Sobolev inequalities proved by \textit{S. G. Bobkov} and \textit{M. Ledoux} [Geom. Funct. Anal. 10, No.~5, 1028--1052 (2000; Zbl 0969.26019)] and the isoperimetric inequalities due to \textit{D. Bakry} and \textit{M. Ledoux} [Invent. Math. 123, No.~2, 259--281 (1996; Zbl 0855.58011)] and \textit{S. G. Bobkov} and \textit{B. Zegarlinsky} [Mem. Am. Math. Soc. 829, 69 p. (2005; Zbl 1161.46300)]. Moreover, a concentration inequality for uniformly convex bodies is obtained which is similar to the one proved by \textit{M. Gromov} and \textit{V. D. Milman} [Compos. Math. 62, 263--282 (1987; Zbl 0623.46007)].
