Let \(A={\mathbb F}_q[T]\) and let \(L\) be a finite field that is an extension of degree \(m\) of \(A/(P)\) for some irreducible \(P\in A\) of degree \(d\). The paper states that every \(A\)-module structure \(A/(i_1)\oplus A/(i_2)\) that satisfies certain necessary conditions does indeed occur as a Drinfeld module structure on \(L\) for an ordinary rank \(2\) Drinfeld \(A\)-module. Actually, the conditions \((i_1 i_2)=(1-c+\mu P^m)\) and \(\deg(c)\leq\frac{md}{2}\) (mentioned elsewhere in the paper) have been forgotten in the formulation of the main theorem. Moreover, the (nontrivial) condition that the polynomial \(X^2-cX+\mu P^m\) is irreducible over \({\mathbb F}_q((1/T))\) seems to have been completely overlooked in the paper. For the analogous question which group structures occur as Mordell-Weil groups of an elliptic curve over a finite field see for example \textit{H.-G. Rück} [Math. Comput. 49, 301--304 (1987; Zbl 0628.14019)].
