The paper is devoted to the study of problem of kinetic theory. In a series of works, the authors have given a systematic study of the exact solutions of the Smoluchowski equation with the Maier-Saupe extended volume potential and the dipole-dipole interaction potential in implicit form. In this paper they extend their previous studies on homogeneous rigid extended or polar nematics by examining the steady states subject to the dipole-dipole and excluded volume interaction under imposed external fields in dilute and concentrated regimes with or without the permanent magnetic moments (or dipoles). Their investigations are based on the study of the steady state solution behavior governed by the Smoluchowski equation with a special potential. In this connection see [\textit{H. Zhou, H. Wang, M.
