The authors announce a few variations on the theme of metric regularity as presented in [\textit{A. D. Ioffe}, Usp. Mat. Nauk 55, No. 3, 103--162 (2000; Zbl 0979.49017)]. Under discussion are the following topics: directional regularity, a directional stability theorem, directional metric regularity, and applications to sensitivity. No proofs are given.
