The aim of this very short note is to present the statement of a new generalization of the so called ``Helly's selection principle'' concerning the existence of a pointwise convergent subsequence of a sequence of equibounded functions with equibounded total variations. In author's setting, the functions \(f_j(.):T\subset R\to X\) take values in a Hausdorff uniform space, \((X,{\mathcal U})\), whose uniformity \({\mathcal U}\) is defined by an at most countable complex of pseudometrics, the subsets \(\{f_j(t)\}\subset X\) are relatively sequentially compact for all \(t\in T\) while the ``equiboundedness of the total variations'' is replaced by an asymptotic property of certain ``moduli of variations'' associated to the pseudometrics in \({\mathcal U}\).
