A parametric family of tuples of seven points on the parabola \(y=x^2\) is exhibited with the following properties. All the mutual distances between the first four points among the seven are rational, and these four points are not concyclic. \(9\) out of \(10\) distances determined by the first five points are rational, \(12\) out of \(15\) distances determined by the first six points are rational, and \(15\) out of \(21\) distances determined by all the seven points are rational. This improves a result of \textit{G. Campbell} [Math. Comput. 73, No. 248, 2093--2108 (2004; Zbl 1051.14022)].
