The authors consider the impulsive boundary value problem \[ \begin{aligned} &x'(t) = f(t,x(t))\text{ for each } t \in J\setminus\{t_1,\ldots,t_k\}, \\ &\Delta x (t_i) = I_i(x(t_i))\text{ for } i = 1,\dots,k,\\ &x(0) = x(T), \end{aligned} \] where \(J = [0,T]\) and \(0 < t_1 < \dots < t_k < T\); \(f : J \times \mathbb R \to \mathbb R\), \(I_i : \mathbb R \to \mathbb R\) for \(i = 1,\dots,k\) are continuous. Using the continuation theorem of coincidence degree theory, the existence of at least one solution to the problem is obtained.
