This extensive paper deals with lifting of central topological properties in the following situation: Let \(E\) be an ideal of \(L^0(\mu)\) (the \(\mu\)-equivalence classes of measurable functions over a \(\sigma\)-finite measure space \(\mu\)) with a Hausdorff locally convex-solid topology \(\xi\) and let \(X\) be a real Banach space. Denote by \(E(X)\) the subspace of \(L^0(X)\) defined by the condition \(\omega\mapsto\| f(\omega)\| _X\in E\). In an earlier paper [\textit{K. Feledziak} and \textit{M. Nowak}, Collect. Math. 48, 487--511 (1997; Zbl 0912.46028)], a way of associating a topology \(\bar\xi\) from \(\xi\) on \(E(X)\) was developed, giving the Hausdorff locally convex-solid topological space \((E(X),\bar\xi)\). After a thorough and informative introduction, the author studies lifting from \((E,\xi)\) to \((E(X),\bar\xi)\) of the following topological properties: weak compactness of order intervals, almost reflexivity, weak sequential completeness, semi-reflexivity and relative weak compactness of solid hull.
